The Book Of Mormon Indianapolis Theatre reviews
Book of Mormon.....Wow!
This musical was AMAZING. I was a little skeptical about going because I've listened to and loved the OBC soundtrack for years, and I thought there was no way others could live up to the way Andrew Rannells and Josh Gad perfected the roles. But boy was I wrong. Everyone was phenomenal. They were hilarious and portrayed each role in their own way. This is a musical that deserves to stay on Broadway for many many more years. Also, on another note, I've heard that people complain about how much they make fun of Mormon's and how awful the language they use is and blah blah blah, so I have a couple of points to add about that
1.) what did you think it was going to be about???? A musical that literally acted out the Book of Mormon??? 2.) If you are going to see a musical, maybe you should do a little research before you buy tickets. The plot and direction of this musical is very clear if you just listen to a couple of songs or do a google search about it. You can't complain when you had the chance to know exactly what you were getting yourself into. I mean... come on! It's written by the makers of South Park
3.) Even many mormons themselves have said they loved it and thought it was hilarious!!!!!
4.) Come on! Lighten up! Have a sense of humor!!!! They're not attacking or threatening the Mormon faith.
I apologize for the rant! I just had to make that point. And hopefully this review will ward off the evil Book of Mormon haters from seeing the show. Again, great musical!!! Definitely recommend it!
